A downloadable game for Windows

An endless arcade top-down-shooter where your bullets are joined together by a deadly laser beam.

How To Play

  • Defeat ghosts to score points!
  • Your bullets are joined together by deadly laser beams. Only these beams can destroy ghosts.
  • The more ghosts you destroy with a single beam, the more points you score.

Controls

  • Move: WASD / Arrow Keys
  • Aim: Mouse
  • Shoot: Left Mouse Button
  • Quit: Escape

Known Bugs

  • Bullets will not appear if they are fired too close to a wall.
  • High Score doesn't count ghosts that were destroyed after you died (even though your final score display does count them).

About

This game was created in 48 hours for GMTK Jam 2021.

I struggled to come up with a good idea to begin with, and raced to get this idea finished towards the end. As a result, I had to cut some features like harder enemies and power-ups. It is what it is!

The visual style was inspired by MSX games Pleasure Hearts and Knightmare.

Amazing game! Really nice take on the theme, the art, sound, and overall game feel is also super well done. My high score was 730, congratulations on the project!

You've done it again! Everything from the visuals, to the music to the gameplay is fantastic! Really cool interpretation of the theme as well. I'd love an updated version post-jam with some of the additions you mentioned in the description.
